Korea=Shoe Heaven

So yesterday I ventured into Seoul for the first time! My Korean co-teacher was heading in to visit her in-laws and offered me a free ride in exchange for a chance to practice her English. She's wonderful and so is Seoul. A few quick notes on Seoul. It's the second largest city in the world and with over ten million people living within it's borders it's completely crowded. It's also very polluted and when you approach the city you can't even begin to make out the sky-line because of the smog clouds. It's the land of yellow dust.

Barring that-Seoul is amazing. I met Dave(a former co-worker of Brandon's and a fellow Islander) at a park in the university area and we just explored and people watched. The fashion in Seoul is out of this world. The shopping in Seoul is also awe-inspiring and everything in this district(in fact in all of Korea) is completely affordable-here are some examples.

An hour long bus ride or subway ride=two dollars Canadian
New hoody-five dollars Canadian
New dress-five dollars Canadian
Nice meal at a resteraunt with drinks-ten dollars each
Ballet flats-Two dollars
Giant Aloe Vera plant=six dollars

Shoes. Korea is a shoe heaven. You can buy the most beautiful, handmade heels for ten dollars Canadian. It's unreal.
